ProblemTracker is fully integrated with Internet standard SMTP email, supporting the following features:

• Can send an email to any ProblemTracker user.
• Email notification to both manager and assignee on a change of problem record state.
• Email notification to both manager and assignee on a change of problem record assignment.
• Managers are assigned on a per product and per state basis. This allows the routing of email to be customized on a per product basis within an organization.

Email administration is performed by pressing the "Email Configuration" button on the ProblemTracker administrator, displaying the Email admin page as shown below:
