NetResults Tracker Version 6.5.0 Release Notes

Features and Fixes

You can read about what's new in 6.5.0 in the NetResults Tracker Features page and the NetResults Tracker Fixes page. The features page includes links to relevant sections of the Help manuals with information on how to enable and use the new features. There are also short (2 or 3 minute) Flash demos for some of the new features. To maintain backward compatibility, most new features are not enabled immediately after upgrade. This allows you to upgrade now to get the fixes and selectively enable new features whenever it is most convenient for you.

License Keys

If you are using Version 6 (6.0.0 or 6.0.1) already, you do not need new license keys and can skip to the Requirements section.

If you are using Version 5 or earlier, you will need to get new license keys. Please do not upgrade your installation to Version 6.5 until you have your Version 6 license keys. Upgrading without the appropriate license keys could result in the inability to login to your workgroups, unexpected changes to your users (floating users will be converted to static users if a floating license key is not entered), and/or the inability to use certain features.

You can request your Version 6 license keys when you download the Version 6.5 software.

Requirements

Before installing, please review the Version 6.5 Requirements. The fact that the software appears to successfully install does not mean that your server meets our requirements. If it does not meet the requirements, some features of the product will not operate properly and/or you may have very poor performance. Your support agreement is not valid on any server which does not meet the requirements. If you are not sure whether your server meets the requirements, you can contact Technical Support and they can assist you in validating your server. If you do not have a web server which meets the requirements and wish to use Version 6.5, you may wish to consider moving to the hosted version of NetResults Tracker. We can move your existing data to our data centers. All you will need to use the system (including administrative operations) is a web browser.

Known Limitations

The following are known defects in version 6.5.0.  These issues will be fixed in a future release:

  • The short name of a form cannot be included as the search criteria when searching in the PRN field on the Record Attachments list. Enter only the numeric part of the PRN to find the desired results.

Getting the Software

You can get access to the software on the Support Downloads page. You can download the software if your Software Updates and Support (SUS) subscription is current (or was current as of the release of 6.5.0). You can check your SUS subscription status and/or renew your SUS subscription online by using the Subscription Renewal Information page on our web site.
